My journey in childcare started in 2015 after my first experience placing my young children in daycare as infants. That experience showed me very quickly how important quality childcare truly is for both children and parents. After realizing the environment was not the right fit for my family, I made the decision to become more involved in the childcare field myself. I later sought employment at the next childcare center I chose for my children, and that experience completely changed my perspective on what strong childcare programs can provide for families. All five of my children attended that center from infancy through kindergarten, continuing there even after I was no longer employed with the program. Through both personal and professional experience, I gained firsthand knowledge of the trust parents place in childcare providers and the importance of structure, communication, organization, and quality care. Since then, my experience has expanded into childcare administration, business operations, enrollment support, scheduling, parent communication systems, program organization, and understanding standards tied to program credibility and quality initiatives such as Step Up To Quality.
